Proteína inmunodominante P116 del patógeno humano Mycoplasma pneumoniae: Un recipiente para el colesterol y otros lípidos esenciales

    Thesis presented by Jesús Martín Romero, enrolled in the Biotechnology program at the University of Barcelona, ​​to obtain the title of Doctor. The structure and function of the P116 protein, essential for the metabolism of the lipids of Mycoplasma pneumoniae and the main target of the humoral immune response, are studied in depth.

    This project has been carried out through an FPI grant awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness in the Structural Biology group at the Molecular Biology Institute of Barcelona (IBMB-CSIC), under the supervision of Professor Ignacio Fita Rodriguez and the Doctor David Vizarraga Revuelta, and with Josefa Badía Palacín as a tutor.
