SBU participated at IBMB Xmas meeting

Christmas Meeting of the Institute of Molecular Biology of Barcelona (IBMB) was held this week at the Center of Investigation and Development in Barcelona. The opening talk was done by Angel Raya, director of the Center of Regenerative Medicine in Barcelona, who explained their research around the Parkinson disease. Around 100 people attended the talks from IBMB researchers that showed their the ongoing research of the Institute and gave the possibility to discuss about it.

Two members of the Structural Biology Unit (SBU) explained their work: Montserrat Fabrega, from Miquel Coll’s lab and Pablo Guerra, from Núria Verdaguer’s lab. Also Cristina Ferrer Orta, chaired the second morning session of the meeting.

During the lunchtime, a cooking contest among all the research groups was celebrated. Each group prepared a main course and a dessert. A jury evaluated quality and presentation and finally decided the best ones in each category.
