Noelia Ferruz has been awarded by L’Oréal-UNESCO ‘For Women in Science’ program
Noelia Ferruz, the group leader of the Artificial Intelligence for Protein Design Laboratory, has won a prestigious L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Award for her project “Learning the Protein Language: À-la-Carte Protein Design.” The project aims to gain control over protein design using advanced artificial intelligence (AI) techniques for language processing. The award ceremony took place on Thursday, May 11th, at the Royal Theater in Madrid, Spain. The other four awardees are Patricia González-Rodríguez, Nuria Galiana, Cristina Vieitez, and Amaia Arruabarrena-Aristorena.
