3 Million Euros Awarded for MSCA Doctoral Networks 2022 – Research Proposal ‘Explainable AI for Molecules – AiChemist’

A consortium of 14 beneficiaries, including the Barcelona Institute of Molecular Biology, has been awarded a total of 3,028,356 euros for the MSCA Industrial Doctoral Networks 2022 research proposal ‘Explainable AI for Molecules – AiChemist.’

The project aims to train 13 Ph.D. students in the field of explainable artificial intelligence, and the beneficiaries include prestigious organizations such as AstraZeneca, EPFL, Bayer, Pfizer, and Sanofi-Aventis, among others.

The IBMB as one of the beneficiaries and will receive 125,985.6 euros to train one PhD student through the AI for Protein Design lab led by Dr. Noelia Ferruz. This project will undoubtedly lead to groundbreaking research in the field, and we can’t wait to see the results!
